When using a Directory wrapper with a database the following occurs:
  • the index is deleted while loading the context;
  • any search return no results.

The 1.2 M3 version has support for Local Cache (which is similar to wrappers). Can you give it a try and see if it works?

The preferred way to improve jdbc directory is to use Compass support for local cache.
